SNOO Bassinet Rental – Is it Really Worth it to Rent a SNOO?

June 7, 2023

I’ll be real honest here… I’m here to convince you getting a SNOO rental is not just a passing trend but a practical choice that you should seriously consider for your newborn.

Now before you roll your eyes, sigh and flip back to your Pinterest feed (or google search results), hear me out…

I made my fair share of mistakes with my first baby’s sleep habits (more on that later). And I wish I would have done things differently. I wish I would have known that I could simply rent a SNOO bassinet.

If I had known that I could rent a SNOO bassinet, my sleep journey with my first baby would have been completely different.

Why?

Because these phenomenal baby bassinets have the potential to make a truly life-changing difference in your baby’s sleep routine. And let’s be real, a well-rested baby leads to a well-rested mama… and that is priceless.

Think about those long, sleepless nights you’ve heard about from other parents—endless hours spent trying to calm a fussy baby, struggling to find that elusive sweet spot that will lull them to sleep. I would spend 60-75 minutes bouncing, rocking, or shushing her to sleep, you only have an hour left to sleep myself until she would wake back up for her next feeding.

With my first baby, this was my life for longer than I would care to admit.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely loved the intimate moments I got to have with her, but it also took a toll on my mental and physical health. I wasn’t sleeping at night, and she refused to sleep anywhere but in my arms during the day.

It was exhausting, both physically and emotionally.

I know so many women say you can’t create bad habits by holding your baby while they sleep, and I absolutely believe that can be true for some babies and some women! But my baby formed some bad sleep habits.

And believe me, I am a FIRM advocate that every mama should be able to make baby sleep decisions without judgment – because every single baby is so unique!

In fact, our blog, Flawed and Fearless Mama, is founded upon the basis that every woman should feel empowered to make her own decisions without being mom shamed or experiencing mom guilt!

That means your own decisions regarding pregnancy, how you give birth, whether you co-sleep or sleep train, whether you nurse, pump, or use formula, whether you shop Melissa and Doug or Fisher Price… you know your baby best, and you are the only person who can make those decisions. But I’ve wandered off track… let me hop off my bunny trail and refocus; here’s where the SNOO comes into play.

The SNOO bassinet is designed with state-of-the-art technology, meticulously crafted to mimic the soothing sensations of being held and rocked in your arms. Its gentle swaying motion and specially designed white noise create a womb-like environment that naturally lulls your little baby to sleep.

But it’s not just about the magical sleep the SNOO provides for your baby—it’s also about what it does for you, mama!

When your baby is sleeping soundly, you can actually catch up on rest yourself. And rest is essential for your health! You just birthed a baby – your body has done incredible things in the last 9 months, and in order to recover properly, you need to rest.

A well-rested mama is more attentive, patient, and capable of nurturing their child.

By renting a SNOO, you are investing in your own mental and physical health, allowing you to be the best version of yourself for both your baby and yourself.

But we still need to address the elephant in the room… cost.

Raising a baby is not necessarily the cheapest thing in the world, and it’s understandable to be hesitant about adding another expense to your finances.

But that’s exactly why renting a SNOO makes perfect sense. n

When I was pregnant with my first, I saw that price tag on a SNOO and immediately dismissed it as a possibility.

But no one told me you could rent a SNOO!

I didn’t find out until I met up with one of the women in my Bradley class, maybe about 3 months post-partum, and found out her husband’s insurance covered a SNOO rental! And she LOVED it.

By opting for a rental, you can experience all the incredible benefits of the SNOO bassinet without the burden of a hefty price tag. It’s a cost-effective way to provide your baby with the sleep they need while also allowing you to live on your current budget.

Duh! This is so brilliant.

Not to mention, by renting a SNOO, you are making an eco-friendly choice. Instead of contributing to unnecessary waste by purchasing a bassinet that your baby will outgrow in mere months, you can reduce your carbon footprint by renting a SNOO that will then be reused for other families. It’s a small step towards creating a sustainable future for our children, one where we prioritize both their well-being and the health of our planet.

If you do decide to rent, they include a mattress, organic cotton sheet, and 2 organic SNOO sacks that you get to keep. No worries about sharing mattresses or sheets with other babies!

If you do have a little extra cash on hand and are leaning towards buying a SNOO instead, they have a great resale value!!

So, mama, no matter how you decide to handle your baby’s sleep, I would highly recommend taking a closer look at renting a SNOO bassinet.

Imagine the peaceful nights, restored energy, and joy from a well-rested family. With a SNOO by your side, you can give your baby the gift of sleep, fostering their growth and happiness while also taking care of yourself.

It’s an investment in the future and a choice you won’t regret.

Sleep awaits you.
